The Energy project of ShillohCare focuses both on stoves at homes and schools, since cooking is not only done by women. Most people cook inside buildings without proper extraction systems. Therefore, they are inhaling smoke and fine articles which are dangerous for overall health.
This picture shows the horrible cooking situation in the Primary School of Koru. Children and teachers are cooking on stones and some firewood in this closed room with only a small windows - Here the fire and the smoke can have tremendous short- and long-term impact on the children's health.
